CECA Assistant Professor Yun (Eric) Liang recently receives hardware donation (GTX690) from NVIDIA to research methods for on-chip memory optimization for GPUs. The project is titled “On-chip Memory Optimization Techniques for GPUs.” Researchers will focus on increasing performance and power efficiency for GPU applications mainly by using cache bypassing and data placement techniques.
