Congratulations to Xuechao Wei and Wentai Zhang for their first place in the SIGDA CADathlon 2018 competition

2018-11-08

On November 5-8, 2018, the 37th International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD), co-sponsored by IEEE and ACM, was held in San Diego, USA.

Xuechao Wei and Wentai Zhang, Ph.D. students at the Center for Energy Efficiency Computing and Application, Peking University, participated in a computer-aided design marathon (CADathlon) organized by the ACM Special Interest Group on Design Automation Group (ACM/SIGDA). They spent nine hours to solve six problems and finally won the championship.

During the conference, Xuechao and Wentai also present their papers:

  • Xuechao Wei, Yun Liang, Xiuhong Li, Cody Hao Yu, Peng Zhang, and Jason Cong, "TGPA: Tile-Grained Pipeline Architecture for Low Latency CNN Inference," Proceedings of the 2018 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer Aided Design (ICCAD 2018), San Diego, CA, USA, November 5-8, 2018.
  • Wentai Zhang, Hanxian Huang, Jiaxi Zhang, Ming Jiang, and Guojie Luo, "Adaptive-Precision Framework for SGD Using Deep Q-Learning," Proceedings of the 2018 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer Aided Design (ICCAD 2018), San Diego, CA, USA, November 5-8, 2018.

Background:

  • ICCAD is the premier conference in the field of Design Automation, the Class A publication in the Center for Energy Efficient Computing Applications (CECA). ICCAD and Design Automation Conference (DAC) are listed as the top-two conferences in the area of design automation, according to CSRankings.org.
